Adsense useless because of Adblock/Ublock? Is there any alternative?

    Hello,

i think that more and more people is using advertisement blocking browser plugins like UBlock Origin or Adblock and others.

That means that Adsense ads are not loaded/are hidden and webmaster loose revenue.

I have no to low Adsense income.

Do you using any universal alternative way to monetize your site instead of Adsense?

PopAds ads seems to be also blocked same as Adsense. In their FAQ they say: "Our adcode is blocked by AdBlock or other similar browser extension/software." Though they claim being able to monetize Adblock traffic so i added their code to one of my sites, though i do not like bothering my visitors by popunders. One would earn like $1 per 1000 bothered customers. My sites usually have like 20-150 unique visits daily.

I have an english blog with finance related articles and Magenet is doing well on it atm, i think link sales, banners (make sure to convert image into data URI - google that, to prevent ad blockers block the banner) and some targetted ads can still make some low money. I consolidated some of my domains into one domain (using subdomains) to save money on domain renewals.

Is it effective against any VPN? Because as far as I know there are a lot of them, even the Google online store is full of similar ADblock programs, for example https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ad-blocker-ininja/nikbookgikighfcfijodlhmffkfcemnc. If they all function the same, then there should be no problems.
