How to discover server GEO location / IP physical location?

Online tools may display outdated data.
You can verify location of the server by doing speedtest which will detect closest servers near your server location: https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli/#readme

Or you can do a traceroute from your computer:
    Linux command: traceroute YourServerIPHere
    Windows command: tracert YourServerIPHere

    You can also run whois:
    whois YourServerIPHere

    More ideas?

You may use 'traceroute' command to find clues to the location of the IP address. The names of the routers through which packets flow from your host to the destination host might hint at the geographical path of the final location.

After you obtained IP address, go to https://www.ripe.net (Europe) and check company details of the IP. Most of companies are hosted within their country. Also check the last traceroute domain and IP address
