Email blackmail threat to Chief foiled...

Emailing a threat to the Chief won't be taken lightly, and probably shouldn't have used his email, nor provided his credit union account for the Chief to deposit the money in. Probably harder to trace Swiss or Cayman Island numbered accounts back to you.

The threat of blackmail is present in any situation, as people are weak and easily manipulated. Therefore, it is best in such a situation not to follow the instructions of the blackmailer but to contact the support service to get rid of the anxiety and panic that occurs in such cases. Unfortunately, the police do not have the knowledge and authority to track the actions of blackmailers on the Internet. Therefore, it is necessary always to be prepared for such a situation. I have read several articles on digitalforensics.com and watched the video to know how to act and what actions to take to avoid succumbing to manipulation.
