don;t bother about alexa rank , it have no impact on your website try to improve search engine ranking of your website for better results .

I am share some tricks that I myself apply for improving alexa rank
Most of my time spend on 4-5 forum to solve problem and get new information. Comment on dofollow blogs and comment in commenting Luv enable blog.
Share latest and interesting post on social bookmarking site and social networking sites.
I also follow some rule while create new post. like seo friendly title, description etc.
When I applied these rule my site ranking increase. ranking increase my Alexa improve.
Always updates your site frequently. this is the most valuable thing that help to improve alexa rank.

Website or blogs Alexa traffic ranking is depends on Active users at website so if you need higher Alexa ranking than try to catches more and more active users that become responsible for higher Alexa Ranking.

So You have to drive alot of unique visitors to the site in order to raise your Alexa rank.

totally agree with you. to drive unique visitors on a blog the best thing to make it visible for more people west ways to post your blogs on popular bookmarking websites, and social media is also a best way to get unique visitors for a blog.
