Never, because important of organic search is useful for real search that help to convert in potential inquiry and business but social media increase awareness about product and services worldwide.

no ! Both Task are the Different. SEO Search engine optimization Main motive is increasing the Keyword ranking of website. Social media are the Promote business social site Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn etc.

I think SEO is about proper website ranking in search results of Google and other engines.
Social networks/media are rather for promoting product and keeping customers, its not yet that much for website ranking.
So i dont think it can be said social media is taking over SEO.
