    Hyperlinks improve site ranking in search results of Google, some people try to influence Google by doing linkbuilding and Google in return penalize such sites who build not natural hyperlinks.

    so i think the Nofollow attribute of the hyperlink is used by webmasters to link without worries of any penalization

    Nofollow links are the links which tells the crawlers to not follow and pass the link juice. It is also important like dofollow links as there should be a ratio of dofollow and nofollow. Yet, nofollow links doesn't pass the link juice but it can reffer the traffics towards your website.

    No follow was used on individual links, preventing robots from following.
