I would like to know that What is Site Map and distinguish between HTML sitemap and XML sitemap? tell me guys,
Google Webmaster tools, does not accept HTML sitemap. It wants XML sitemap or maybe xml.gz (not tried to submit it to them).
But it does not mean Google will not use HTML sitemap (if you link it from your website) to discover sub pages of your website.
I think we are using xml sitemap for search engine bots and the other hand html sitemap for user based.
