Link building is the most important part in SEO technique. Many technique available in SEO but i prefer guest blogging is crucial for any link builder.

Focus only on high page rank sites that are do follow. You need to leave a variety of back links too. A big issue is the amount of time it takes to see results.

Getting backlinks from high value niche websites is best. Instead of getting 100 backlinks from average reputed sites with little web traffic it is better to go get 10 backlinks from reputed high traffic niche related websites. The content that one creates for their website must be written keeping the users in mind not search engines.

In Link building so many techniques are there.Link building techniques are social book marking, forum submission, directory submission, blog submission...by using these technique with quality sites we can try to get traffic.
