Hi, here im sharing my small research regarding hyper-v and Windows VPS reselling.
Microsoft Hyper-V Server k dispozici zdarma.
Integrated part of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012.
"vmware server" can be alternative to hyper-v but, it has almost no functions.
Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise VS Datacenter R2
Enterprise can run 1 physical Windows OS instance and 4 virtual OS instances. Datacenter can run 1 physical and unlimited virtual instances. Datacenter is licensed also per cpu on which is used.
Windows Server Pricing and license types table can be found there:
Microsoft | Windows Server 2012 | Pricing | Licensing | Buy (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/windows-server/buy.aspx)
Datacenter: $4,809, Standard: $882
Which OS should be supported at Hyper-V?
Microsoft Windows Server 2003+
Microsoft XP Pro SP2
CentOS 6+
FreeBSD 8.2

Converting VMWare - Hyper-V virtual disk using "Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM)"
VMware uses Virtual Machine Disk Format — with the extension .vmdk
Microsoft uses Virtual Hard Disk Format — with the extension .vhd
