In the exim log file i found many log entries:
Failed to get write lock for /var/spool/exim/db/wait-remote_smtp.lockfile: timed out
So i googled that line and found an advice to run commands on my server:
rm -fv /var/spool/exim/db/*
service exim restart
and seems these log entries are no longer added, so it probably worked.
