How one can change MyBB installation path / URL?

I needed to move from forum.domain.tld to domain.tld/forum

First i advice to backup the whole hosting account before any changes. Then this was needed to change MyBB forum location/path:

Go to admin area, Configuration / Site Details and change paths there, do not forget to change cookie domain variable on that page.

Probably redundant step: edit /inc/settings.php find old paths and replace by new

Move files to a new location/path.

Go to your FTP or file manager and do the following.

1. Copy all the files in the upload folder
2. Paste all the files in the public_html folder.
3. Delete MyBB_1608

What you did wrong was that, you uploaded the whole entire MyBB Download package. You were only suppose to upload the contents inside of the "upload" folder.
