Generally speaking, Google rankings change depending on a user's preference, viewing history, competition for the keyword and many other factors. This can cause your rankings to fluctuate.
If you are seeing a huge difference in ranking it may be the result of a penalty.
Your signature is full of links, google do not like this and may trat it as an attempt to manipulate site ranking in google.
Add your site into Google webmaster tools and then google this phrasse: "google webmaster quality guidelines"
Focus on quality content, do not do bulk link building.

Could it be due to some spammy contents? Ranks are pretty much messed up by recently.

Your Hosting Server is Not Serving You Well
Your Website Has Crawling Issues
Keyword mapping involves hierarchically classifying the keywords pertinent to your website by intent, relevance and significance, then segmenting them still further into groups and subgroups.

You should justify your website well. Why this one isn't coming to rank. Also you should remove bad backlinks.
