Which year Internet started..?

ARPANET adopted TCP/IP on January 1, 1983.
I was searching on Google and found out that this term Internet was first used in 1974. Where as World Wide Web was invented in 1990 by a computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee.

It was the in the year 1969 when the first packet was passed through the Network. But most think that Internet was generated in 1989 when Tim Berners-Lee made HTML.
