SEO company vs me

Would I do a better job with my blog's SEO or would hiring a company dedicated to SEO be better? Should I just focus on adding more content and let them do the magic?

It can take a week maybe more to optimize the website and you may miss something.
If you make more money working than what you would spend for SEO service, then buy the service as you will save money (in case you buy from reputable provider).

Hiring a company would get the work done faster, but it must be a place that's legit and has good reviews (A reputable business). Otherwise if you dont have the money for it, because sometimes it can be costly, then you can focus on adding content yourself, maybe hiring a writing service, like Textun (https://www.textun.com/) to help you out with it.

I already started saving a few months ago and I think I have enough now to hire one for a short period of time. I was just having cold feet. lol Anyway, my friend recommended this SEO company (http://www.demandwave.com/services/seo/) which she has personally used before. I'll still look for reviews though. Thanks for the advice!
