Hello,

can i block BlexBot (http://webmeup-crawler.com/) without any side effects like decreasing real human visitors from search engine or other important sources?

Who uses the Blexbot data?

I got the notice from the firewall:

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to update it....

We reached out to wowrack to report the abuse because one of our customers received a DDoS attack from webmeup-crawler.

If you visit http://webmeup-crawler.com you would see this is not a legitimate company.
Their one page website has NO company info, NO company address, or NO company contact information.
Their "website" ONLY talks about how they crawl sites for "marketing" purposes but do NOT say why, for what purpose, or what information they are collecting.
This can easily be considered Network Abuse because they are probing servers and we provided proof that they are conducting "DDoS" attacks on servers.
I am VERY surprised you are allowing such activity on your network.
We do not wish to communicate with them and prefer to keep their IPs blocked on our firewall.
We will be reporting them to RBLs and DNSRBLs.
Thank you.

A quick google search also came up with this history:

We have found a few of these to already previously been blocked by us for SPAM.
This would mean that webmeup.com has a history of sending SPAM.
