My website keywords ranking are potential, but i am not getting traffic, what to do for increasing traffic, please share some informative tips ?

i have experience that i was getting traffic when i written content that was helpfull. i mean that i did not writen posts/articles for purpose to just create content for google, but i created interesting content that was usefull for people searchign for an answer to their need.

I named articles the way that it contained phrasses that people searched for, i mean long 4-6 word phrasses, and so my article was on first spots in google results on that long phrasse because there was not a big competition on such a long phrasse. Also that long phrasse i included in post content and maybe also second time in post content but little bit rephrassed / said in another words.

Example topic title:
Quick way to turn Linux VPS into an anonymous socks proxy via SSH (encrypted) (http://internetlifeforum.com/linux-forums/1326-quick-way-turn-linux-vps-into-anonymous-socks-proxy-via-ssh-encrypted/)

i see this topic on first spots in google search results for queries:

Linux VPS anonymous socks proxy

i dont know but that post is usefull and has 806 visitors

please mention how old is your website and or articles that do not get traffic. or for which keywords you dont get traffic, and what is your webpage (if you wish to share)

Check your keywords
have traffic on your selected keyword. Check global searches of your keyword , select keyword they have searches.

I would suggest you to run keyword research again. As you said your keyword ranking is potential but you are not getting traffic it clearly shows that either your target audience is wrong OR you have selected wrong keywords with too low search volume..... Think as a visitor and find-out what exactly they are searching to get services OR product your are offering. Find our potential keywords with good search volume and relevant to target audience...
