Is more cost effective to buy reseller, vps or dedicated Hostgator?

Hi, i have Hostgator reseller account and im curious if in average it is more cheap to have full server or full reseller or full vps (i mean full of clients/capacity)?

What will be cheaper, to buy only resellers or to buy only dedi servers? If we assume i have around 2000 hosting accounts
