How to earn some money with a new forum ??

I have a forum and it's totally new. I need some money to promote my forum rapidly. For this reason I place some advertisements on my forum But I didn't get enough revenue, because my forum visitors/members didn't click on enough ads. Is there any other way to earn some money with a new forum ? If anybody have any suggestion for me, just reply here.

How to earn money with forum:

- add ad spots of some banner network like buysellads.com (see monetization section of this ILF forum)
- advertise possibility to buy Ad spots on other webmaster related forums
- Offer sticky topics
- Adsense
- use Skimlinks to monetize words on your forum and turn them in affiliate links

How effective is Skimlinks for monetizing forums? Is their tracking accurate?
