View Full Version : OpenVPN issue - Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers

OpenVPNServiceInteractive is not started.
Wintun driver and tasks requiring administrative access may not work.

Services manager shows during start:
The dependency service or group failed to start.

Device manager shows near TAP device:
Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

Workaround:
After BIOS POST and pre-boot Windows hold F8 key and select: Disable Driver Signature Enforcement

Permanent enable this advanced boot menu? tried admin cmd prompt: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu yes
but that not helped, still have to hold F8.
