There are lot differences between VPS Hosting and Dedicated hosting. In dedicated hosting, the whole server is dedicated to a only one client and is never shared. Whereas in VPS hosting, a huge server is physically split into number of individual server called as Virtual Private Server(VPS).

A VPS hosting (Virtual private server) is a server created virtually on a dedicated server through virtualization software. You get dedicated cpu resources and root access to the server just like a dedicated server. VPS is ideal for mid-sized websites that requires dedicated CPU resources at low price.

A Dedicated hosting is a whole server completely dedicated to your account while VPS Hosting is a virtual server built on a dedicated server through virtualization software. VPS Hosting offers similar functions and root access like dedicated server and is much economical.
