VPN for torrenting? NordVPN?

I'm looking to buy NordVPN for accessing Netflix and torrent. Can you please let me know if NordVPN is good enough for this or should I've to wait till Black Friday? as I have seen a website that claims that Nordvpn] offers 83% OFF on Black Friday. What you suggest?

Make sure you get a VPN that allows torrenting and offers high speeds.

Some VPN services does not allow you to open/forward port. Which means you will be unable to connect passive peers like you. If you search for VPN and torrenting on the search engine and then research several providers you may get a good VPN.
I use my own server (https://internetlifeforum.com/security/4675-how-setup-private-openvpn-linux-server-windows-android-client/) where i can open ports.

If you are using a good VPN service that effectively secures your connection, then torrenting with a VPN is indeed safe.

I think any vpn would do as long it is hiding your actual IP address.
