When picking keywords for PPC are they the keywords that I have picked out for my website content?

For PPC it is not necessary to pick keywords from your site but if the keywords are highly searchable then it is good to have a keywords from your site. which is good for ads and it does optimize the ads as per PPC.

No, you don't have to utilize keywords from your website. Ideally, you want to pick keywords that have a decent monthly search volume with little to no competition. Those keywords I would also use for content for your site to help boost rankings in the SERPs.
